Speaker: Pittsburgh Harvard Alumnus Charles Skinner (Ph.D., Harvard, 1979, in modern European history) served as a Foreign Service Officer at the center of U.S. policy making from the Fall of the Berlin Wall through the Balkan Wars to 9/11 and the Iraq War (1989-2006), in Washington (Berlin Desk), Bonn (German Foreign Office & Embassy Pol-Mil), NATO HQ in Brussels (Deputy PolAd for Operations), Washington (NATO Desk), and London (Political Counselor), and taught at Duquesne (2008) and at Pitt's Grad School for Public and International Affairs from 2009 through 2020.
