Welcome to the Harvard Club of Western Pennsylvania!
From the President...
Welcome to the Harvard Club of Western PA (HCWPA). We are a Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) Club based in Pittsburgh, PA. HCWPA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose dues and student-related contributions are tax deductible. The support that you provide monetarily (treasure) and voluntarily (time and talent) are important in enabling us to fund and execute our Schools & Scholarship Committee activities including our recruitment activities and receptions for admitted local students. HCWPA also provides venues for you to continue your close ties with the Harvard family.
For the past several years, we have organized a large number of social, education and cultural activities each year due to Alice Hirsch’s herculean efforts as immediate past President of our club. We thank Alice for all her efforts as she transitions back to an Executive Committee member.
I encourage you to periodically visit our website and review our newsletter regarding upcoming events including but not limited to our Fall Picnic on Sunday September 24th, volunteer activities, Schools & Scholarship Committee’s efforts, the Harvard-Yale Game, etc.
We look forward to seeing you during 2017-18 at the activities described in the newsletter. You can also register for events through our website at http://hcwesternpennsylvania.clubs.harvard.edu. Updates and additional details of these and additional events and reminders will be sent via email. Please also let us know if you would like to be added to our email list.
We again thank Alice and the other prior Officers for their dutiful service and the current board members for their willingness to serve our Club in their respective capacities and for their commitment to you and Harvard’s presence in Western PA.
On behalf of the HCWPA Executive Committee, I would like to extend our best wishes to you for an exciting and productive year!
President, Harvard Club of Western PA
